PC-Panels interface

 Two ways to process payments

You can control client PC in two payment modes
  • Pay As You Go
  • Pre-Paid
Note:
1. You can change rates and names for services and Charge categories through CM Configuration menu on Billing Tab [see how to]
2. You can specify in what order command buttons should be enabled or disabled in CM Configuration menu on Advanced Tab. [see how to]

Start Click Start to set time when customer has started using PC. If you are using Cafe Manager with Screen Shield, Screen Shield will unlock remote PC to allow user to start using the computer. End button become enabled.
 If you move mouse over the end field (just above End button) you can see how much time customer has already spent. It this example it is 35 minutes.

End Click End to set time when customer has finished using computer. If you are using Cafe Manager with Screen Shield, Screen Shield will lock remote PC, so no one can access PC until you press Start button again.

Time Click Time button to calculate time customer spent using computer. Charge category drop-down list will become enabled.
 At any time (but before you click on Save button) you can enter charges for additional services you may provide. (pic 1 and 2)
 Just type quantity of the Additional Service in Qty column and charge will be displayed in Price column. Charges for additional services immediately reflected in Total field.

Student Select one of the Charge category from drop-down list to calculate the total charge, based on the rate you have for this Charge Category. If you have any additional charges entered, they will be added to the total automatically.
Save button become enabled
Clear button become disabled

Save Click Save to save transaction into a log file. Clear button become enabled

Clear Clears PC-Panel for the next use.

% Add discount. Select this checkbox if you would like to apply discount to the final amount. Cafe Manager will prompt to enter discount when you click Save button

 User pays Before (Pre-Paid) mode

 Pre-Paid mode you have to first select a Charge Category from the dropdown box (pic 3). This will tell the program what rate it should use. The customer should indicate if he/she wishes to spend exact amount of money or time and you enter values for Time or Money accordingly and press Ready button. In this example customer wants to spend 1 hour and charge is Euro 6.00 (Charge Category is named Guest in this example)

Guest Selecting Charge Category will enable PC-Panel for further processing.

Time or Money Before customer can star he have to tell what time or money amount he wants to spent.
Ready Based on Time or Money option selected program will calculate Time and Charge. Ready to Start 
Start The program will start the timer and will notify you when time has elapsed. Start button turns to End button
End To stop the timer and the PC-panel will display the total charge up to that moment. Pic 4
On a picture 4 customer has spent 46 minutes, 14 minutes left and time charge is Euro 6.00. In addition, customer bought 1 cup of tea (0.80). You can continue by clicking on the Start button again or Save transaction if the customer decides to finish using the PC.
Add Time You can add time during customer's session, if it's required [see how to]
Don't run Shield Check Don't run Shield if you want to allow customer to finish up his/her work when time has elapsed. In this case Cafe Manager will not activate Screen Shield.
