Use Screen Shield - Select this check box if you want to use Shield with Cafe Manager. Screen Shield has to be installed on client systems.
From
Cafe Manager you can operate Screen Shield by means of Start and End buttons on PC-Panel or through PC Action menu. When you click Start (customer is ready to start) Shield  will unlock remote computer. When End button is pressed (customer has finished using PC and ready to pay) Shield will lock remote computer.

Connection Mode
  • IP Address (when you have static IP addresses for client systems)

  • Network Path (Your network settings should allow you to Map a Network drive to the folder where Shield is installed on client systems)
    See quick tutorial

You have to select exactly the same Connection Mode for Screen Shield in Shield's Setup Wizard on client PCs.
Shield Config… Use this button to configure Shield connections

Allow Cafe Manager to receive signals from client PCs By default Cafe Manager does not listen for Screen Shield's signals. It just sends commands to clients and ignores all responses.
If you select this option, please make sure that correspondent option "Allow Screen Shield to connect to server application" is selected in Screen Shield's Set-up Wizard menu on client PCs. Those options will enable true "client-server" communication between Cafe Manager and Screen Shield.
For example:
- customers can finish session by themselves and information will be passed from Screen Shield to Cafe Manager.
- If admin personnel logged on client PC - it will be reflected in Cafe Manager
- You can Ping client system from Cafe Manager to find out it's current status.
In Network Connection mode you need to specify a Shield Entry Files folder (SEF). This folder has to be shared with Read/Write (Full) access rights. On client PCs in Screen Shield set-up Wizard please select this folder, during Network Connection settings configuration.
Auto-Ping Enter any number (minutes) above 0 if you want Cafe Manager to ping client PCs and refresh their status in Systems view.
Enter 0 minutes if you do not want Cafe Manager to ping client systems on a timed basis. You can manualy ping all clients by going to PC Action/Ping All menu
